Termination & Joints

A joint structure for covering a joint between cables is provided in which an insulation structure extends over and beyond cut back ends of insulation layers of the cables, but terminates at a distance ahead of cut back ends of insulation shield layers of the cables.

Insulators

Insulators are used in electrical equipment to support and separate electrical conductors without allowing current through themselves. An insulating material used in bulk to wrap electrical cables or other equipment is called insulation.

Cable Lugs

The clamps or connectors used for connecting two electrical devices are called as electrical lugs. Use of cable lugs allows supply and distribution of electric current without any hindrance between electrical cables. Electrical lugs are used when permanent connection is not possible between devices or cables.

ABC Accessories

The ABC system envisages use of insulated wired in place of bare conductors in the overhead distribution network. The system is particularly useful in streets with tree plantations, narrow roads, theft of energy by open hook and problem of clearances to buildings etc.

Earthing Equipment

In electric power distribution systems, a protective earth (PE) conductor is an essential part of the safety provided by the earthing system. Connection to ground also limits the build-up of static electricity when handling flammable products or electrostatic-sensitive devices.

Bare Conductors Clamps & Joints

Tension clamps connect conductors to tension strings and with stand the required mechanical holding forces.A distinction is made between two types of tension clamps, which have fundamental differences:
- Disconnect-able clamps, such as wedge tension clamps, bolted type tension clamps, helical dead ends and strain thimbles, can all be adjusted;
- Compression dead end clamps, are permanent connections, and cannot be adjusted for span, sag, or tension adjustments.
